This speech was delivered by Elizabeth Frankowski's daughter, Elizabeth Peppas, at the West Toledo branch during an event to celebrate this online collection. The event took place on September 3, 2015:

Mrs. Elizabeth Frankowski,

You are one incredibly amazing woman! I have the utmost admiration for you. Your unwavering spirit, your compassion and empathy, your undying faith, but most of all your strength, never ceases to amaze me! What an inspiration you have been to me. I have never told you this and thought it was time you knew the impact you have had on my life. Whatever adversity I have faced in life, I have gotten through, because of you and your life experience.

First, I would pray to God and ask Him to give me strength. Then I would tell myself “If my Mother could get through all that she had to endure” and I would think of your courageous strength. I know, nothing I would ever go through in life could ever come close to what you have endured. I knew this way of thinking would get me through anything in life.

I have used that thought process countless times but never more than when I had my health struggles. I can honestly say, it is because of you that I am a survivor, a survivor in a different sense of the word, but nonetheless, it is because of you! Your tenacity, your will to survive and your love of life!!

Thank you Mom for being the best role model a girl could ask for. You ARE a beautiful soul! I have always been so proud to call you my Mom!!
I am so proud to have been named after you. I love you with all my heart and soul, your daughter Elizabeth
